I’ve been posting the designs of the Constructicons but I haven’t showed you guys the creation status of them. This is probably my 6th weekend working on them. The first weekend i just focused on Scavenger and not much progress was made as i was waiting for paint to dry. So I strongly suggest if you’re working on custom Mighty Muggs to have a couple your working on at any given time, you’ll be more productive. Below is an image of all 6 grouped up. It just so happens that most of them are taped and wrapped up. This is to cover certain areas I’m not working on. Last week I didn’t tape up Long Hauls legs and arms well enough and I had some spray marks I had to touch up. It was kind of frustrating, oh well.
Work has kept me pretty busy and I really only have time to work on these bad boys on the weekends, which is a great way to relax. Tonight I sanded down Bonecrusher who in the image below still has his factory primer still on. I sand off the factory primer because it is glossy and when I spray paint on it it doesn’t cling well. It is a bummer I have to sand them but sanding only takes about 30mins and the matte primer I put on works a lot better at absorbing the spray paint.
Hook is at the stage where I’m about to tap off the light green areas and will paint in the dark green. Scavenger’s painting is done and I plan to mold his shovel arm (waiting on the mold kit, in the mail).
Long Haul I just sprayed on the dark purple and I need to spray on the details. Scrapper I just sprayed his red eyes and need to tape him up to spray the light gray on his head. Mixmaster I’m tapping up his back to spray the dark green.
